When the Sun Sets is a 40-page novelette that focuses on the idea of life's disappointments. Highly moralistic and didactic, the book warns of the dangers of one being over confident of one's successes in life. Tony, the hero had to taste the bitter pill of disappointment and frustration (for no just cause) for him to learn how not to get carried away with his life's success.
The shattering blow for him came in the form of his fiancée's sudden death, just before their wedding. As a work of art, this novelette lacks in-depth plot structure and convincing story line. The use of English needs thorough revision for it to attain a standardized version.
